In December 2025, the ranking organization UI GreenMetric World University Ranking ranks TDTU 76th in the world out of 1,745 participating higher education institutions.

In December 2020, TDTU ranked 83rd out of 911 global universities. In December 2021, TDTU ranked 122nd out of 956. In December 2022, TDTU ranked 114th out of 1,050. In December 2023, TDTU ranked 91st out of 1,182. In December 2024, TDTU ranked 87th out of 1,477 global universities in the rankings.

TDTU has joined this ranking system since 2016 and continuously maintains a high ranking in the list of the most sustainable higher education institutions in the world, and is ranked the highest among universities. Vietnam participates in the ranking.
