In November 2025, the QS Asia University Rankings announced that Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was ranked 231st out of 1,534 top universities in Asia for the 2026 rankings.
The QS Asia University Rankings are based on an analysis of survey results from hundreds of thousands of experts and employers worldwide, combined with data on scientific publications from global educational institutions.
The ranking criteria include: Academic reputation (30%); Employer reputation (20%); Faculty/student ratio (10%); Staff with a PhD (5%); Papers per faculty (5%); Citations per paper (10%); International research network (10%); Proportion of international faculty (2.5%); proportion of international students (2.5%); Proportion of inbound exchange students (2.5%); Proportion of outbound exchange students (2.5%)
