Doing research at TDTU

With the goal of developing into a world-class research university, scientific and technological activities at TDTU are organized according to international standards with the following directions:

-Basic research: Research outcomes must result in publications in top-tier, reputable journals listed in WoS or Scopus databases.

-Technology research: Research outcomes must successfully address practical issues, with the results being new designs, patents, or inventions granted patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

-Applied research: Research activities are closely linked with businesses to transfer research products into practical applications.

Science and technology activities

Ton Duc Thang University and Hanoi University of Mining and Geology Sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the 2026–2028 Period
During the meeting, leaders of the two universities discussed strategic directions for cooperation during the 2026 – 2028 period and shared experiences in a wide range of areas, including science and technology, international cooperation, organizational development, human resource management, financial management, student recruitment, and campus infrastructure development.
Ton Duc Thang University Establishes Three Additional Strong Research Groups
With the addition of these three new groups, TDTU now has a total of 13 strong research groups operating in many key fields. These groups play a core role in strengthening the University’s research capacity, promoting interdisciplinary research, improving the quality of scientific publications, and enhancing the transfer of knowledge and technology to the community and society.
Ton Duc Thang University and the University of Danang, University of Science and Education Launch Cooperation in Science and Technology
During the working session, leaders and scientists from both institutions discussed key areas of cooperation, including the joint implementation of scientific research projects, publication of research findings in reputable international journals, organization of scientific conferences and seminars, exchange of lecturers, experts, and researchers, and the sharing of academic resources to support education and research activities.
