In February 2022, THE Young University Rankings announced the list of the world’s best young universities in 2022. Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was ranked 98th out of 790 universities. This is the first time TDTU has appeared in the list.

In June 2023, THE Young University Rankings announced the list of the world’s best young universities in 2023. TDTU was ranked 101 - 150 out of 963 universities.

THE Young University Rankings is a worldwide ranking of universities that are 50 years old or younger, announced by THE since 2012.
