On 13 March 2023, a delegation from Hanoi Law University, including Dr. Chu Manh Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Doan Trung Kien - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, the President, along with the leaders of departments and faculties visited and shared university management experiences with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
On the side of TDTU, Dr. Vu Anh Duc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, the President, and the leaders of departments and faculties welcomed the delegation. Especially, the meeting had the attendance of Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, member of the University Council.
The two sides discussed the work of ranking and evaluating higher education institutions, developing joint training programs, and maintaining achievements in international publication. In addition to this, discussions were held on developing human resources and digital transformation through the applications of Information Technology, as well as sharing methods of building and maintaining a system of facilities to serve the needs of learning, teaching and scientific research.
At the meeting, Dr. Tran Trong Dao shared experiences in building TDTU development strategies according to long-term goals such as: improving the quality of human resources like lecturers - researchers by stage, expanding the cooperation with businesses, and ensuring output standards for graduates. The solidarity, consensus and wholehearted devotion of the lecturers and students have contributed to the present success of TDTU.
Mr. Chu Manh Hung said: “TDTU is known as a higher education institution within the prestigious domestic and international university ranking system. Although it is a young university with only 25 years of establishment and development, TDTU has left a huge impression as successfully implementing the autonomy model, in which the discipline, culture and behavior of TDTU students are also commendable during this business trip”. Hanoi Law University hopes to learn some practical practices attained at TDTU that can be applied in the development process of the University to become a successful autonomous public university.
Hanoi Law University is a public university under the Ministry of Justice. With 8 bachelor's degree programs, 13 master's programs and 7 doctoral programs, the University has trained more than 103 intakes of full-time undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students with a total number of 130,000 students.
