Opening Ceremony of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in 2024 - Phase 2
On February 15, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the opening ceremony for the Master’s and Doctoral programs in 2024, phase 2.
Attending the ceremony were Dr. Vu Anh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President of TDTU; along with leaders, lecturers, representatives from related Faculties and Departments, and doctoral and master’s students.
In this phase, the University officially admitted 04 doctoral candidates into the Doctoral programs in Civil Engineering, Computational Science, and Computer Science. Additionally, 120 candidates were admitted to the Master’s programs in Applied Mathematics, Applied Art, Computer Science, Business Administration, Sociology, Environmental Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President of TDTU, sent her congratulations to the admitted students and expressed her hope that they would make the most of the support and study conditions at the University to promote their research capacity and enhance professional knowledge. Thus, after completing the study program with good results, they as the high-quality human resource could contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
“Today is not just an opening ceremony but a milestone marking the beginning of a new journey that demands perseverance and continuous effort in learning, research, and knowledge accumulation. Along this journey, you will face various challenges, each of which presents an opportunity to expand your intellectual horizons and bring you closer to achieving the aspirations you have been pursuing,” said Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, who was admitted to the Master’s program in Business Administration, on behalf of the new students, thanked the Presidential Board and leaders of the University for their attentiveness and creating favorable conditions for study and research activities. He also expressed his determination to achieve positive results during his time studying at the University.
Postgraduate training has become one of the priority goals of TDTU in its journey to become an elite research university by 2037. Over time, graduate students from TDTU have been achieving success in their careers, holding key positions in different domestic and international departments, agencies, enterprises, and institutes. This contributes to affirming the position and prestige of TDTU in the higher education system.
