Ton Duc Thang University Signs an MOU with the Department of Education and Training and High Schools in Long An Province

On November 8, 2024, a delegation from the Long An Province Department of Education and Training, led by Ms. Phan Thi Da Thao, Deputy Director of the Department, along with Principals, Vice Principals, and teachers in charge of admissions from high schools in Long An Province, visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).

Welcoming the delegation on behalf of TDTU were Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President of TDTU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Vice Chairwoman of University Council and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, along with leaders from various Departments, Faculties, Institutes, and Centers.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President of TDTU, acknowledged and highly appreciated the successful collaboration with the Long An Province Department of Education and Training and high schools in Long An Province over recent times. She expressed a desire to continue expanding cooperative activities and foster substantial collaboration between the University and the province in the future.

At the meeting, Ms. Phan Thi Da Thao, Deputy Director of the Long An Province Department of Education and Training, commended the University’s administration model and the discipline of its students. She expressed her positive impression of TDTU’s modern, comfortable facilities and its internationally-standardized campus with green and clean environment, which reassures her about the well-being of Long An Province students studying and living there. She was also particularly impressed by the educational program at the Vietnam-Finland International School as part of TDTU, which includes career-oriented contents to guide high school students early on. During the meeting, representatives from the Long An Province Department of Education and Training expressed a desire for TDTU to continue supporting the province in education, especially by organizing on-site tours and experiences at the University to help students gain guidance on academic fields and future careers.

Until March 2024, TDTU had signed MOUs with 22 high schools in Long An Province, providing education to over 1,700 students and allocating nearly 3 billion VND for scholarship programs, tuition reduction or exemption, and support for students under preferential treatment policy as well as assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic. The employment rate for TDTU graduates, including those from Long An Province, within one year of graduation, consistently reaches 99.6% to 100%. Graduates are highly regarded by both domestic and international enterprises for their service-oriented mindset, professional competence, and strong discipline.
