Ton Duc Thang University Organizes the Annual Work Briefing Conference for the Academic Year 2025-2026
On September 11–12, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held its annual work briefing conference for the Academic Year 2025–2026, also known as the Summer Conference. The event was chaired by Dr. Tran Trong Dao, the University’s President and a member of the Presidential Board, together with other members of the Board. It also featured the participation of Dr. Vu Anh Duc, Chairman of the University Council, together with leaders from various Departments, Faculties, Institutes, and Centers across the University.

The conference is an annual activity of the University aimed at evaluating the results of the previous academic year’s tasks, discussing plans, and setting directions for the new academic year, while also identifying long-term strategic goals.
- A report on monitoring the implementation of the directives given by the President at the second work briefing conference of the Academic Year 2024-2025, with a focus on the results, progress, and effectiveness of the implementation by each unit.
- Presentation and discussion of the key tasks for the Academic Year 2025-2026, including:
- Developing science, technology, and innovation;
- Accelerating digital transformation in university governance and upgrading the smart digital library system;
- Developing a plan to enhance digital competencies for lecturers, staff, and students;
- Implementing the plan for graduate program development, introducing new majors, and enhancing the recruitment of Master’s students and PhD candidates;
- The plan for developing the activities of the office of the Institute for Advanced Study in Technology in Hanoi;
- Internal communication, human resource management, and the role of unit leadership in enhancing organizational effectiveness.
In addition, the conference also focused on discussing the roadmap for transforming Ton Duc Thang University into the Ton Duc Thang University System (2025-2027 phase), in line with integration trends and enhancing the University’s position in both the Vietnamese and international higher education systems.
In his concluding remarks, President Dr. Tran Trong Dao acknowledged the efforts of the units during the past academic year, while emphasizing the need to accelerate the implementation of key tasks, foster a spirit of innovation, creativity, unity, and responsibility. The Presidential Board also provided specific suggestions and solutions to ensure the successful implementation of the University’s strategic plan in the upcoming phase.
This conference reaffirmed TDTU’s determination in:
- Maintaining its position in international rankings;
- Expanding cooperation in education, research, and technology transfer with domestic and international universities and research institutes;
- Enhancing the quality of education based on the “Knowledge for Leadership – Education for Service” approach;
- Building a modern, humane, and internationally integrated learning and research environment.
The work briefing conference for the Academic Year 2025-2026 is an important starting point, laying the foundation for TDTU to continue affirming its pioneering role in educational innovation, science and technology, and sustainable development.
