Ton Duc Thang University Holds the Conference of Employee and Staff Representatives for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
On September 26, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the Conference of Employee and Staff Representatives for the 2026–2027 Academic Year.
The Conference aimed to promote grassroots democracy and provide employees and staff with an opportunity to contribute their opinions to the University’s activities. It also reviewed the implementation of tasks for the 2025–2026 academic year and reached consensus on key directions and tasks for 2026–2027.
The Conference approved the report on the implementation of tasks for the 2025–2026 academic year and the directions and tasks for 2026–2027. Participants also heard reports on the implementation of the Regulations on Democracy in the University’s operations and the activities of the People’s Inspection Board for the 2024–2026 term, and elected the People’s Inspection Board for the 2026–2028 term.
Representatives from various units exchanged views and contributed recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the University’s operations, while also providing input on the directions and tasks for the new academic year.
In recognition of the efforts and contributions of collectives and individuals during the 2025–2026 academic year, the University presented commendations to:
- 04 collectives receiving the Outstanding Labor Collective title;
- 18 collectives receiving the Advanced Labor Collective title;
- 03 collectives recognized for their significant efforts and effective contributions to the University’s activities;
- 11 individuals receiving the Grassroots-Level Emulation Fighter title;
- 48 individuals receiving the Advanced Laborer title;
- 28 individuals recognized for their contributions to the development of their units and the University.
In addition, the University commended 02 individuals for outstanding achievements in supervising students whose scientific research projects received prestigious awards, as well as 45 authors of scientific papers classified as “Ngoại hạng” (Exceptional).
In his concluding remarks and directions at the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Secretary of the University’s Party Committee and President of TDTU, acknowledged the efforts and contributions of all lecturers, employees, and staff during the 2025–2026 academic year. He also called on all units to translate the opinions and recommendations raised at the Conference into specific tasks, with clearly defined responsibilities and implementation timelines.
Looking toward the University’s 30th anniversary, the President called on all employees and staff to focus on tasks that create substantive value, enhance the quality of education and research capacity, strengthen dedication to learners, and improve governance effectiveness. He emphasized that TDTU’s strength lies first and foremost in its people and spirit of solidarity. Every task performed well, every initiative shared, and every commitment fulfilled contributes to the University’s reputation, values, and sustainable development.
