Ton Duc Thang University and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam Jointly Organize the “Identita – The Story of Czech Graphic Design” Exhibition

On October 23, 2026, the leadership of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed and held a meeting with H.E. Lukáš Kaucký, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Vietnam, and members of the Embassy's delegation. The two parties reviewed the outcomes of their cooperation in recent years and discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration in education, training, scientific research, and cultural exchange.

TDTU is among the pioneering Vietnamese universities in establishing and developing extensive partnerships with institutions in the Czech Republic. Building on its longstanding cooperation, the University has actively implemented educational, academic, and international exchange activities while working closely with the Embassy to organize cultural exchange programs. During the meeting, both parties acknowledged their achievements and explored opportunities to expand cooperation in the coming years.

On the occasion of the Czech Republic's National Day, TDTU, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, organized the international exhibition “Identita – The Story of Czech Graphic Design.” Following the meeting, Ambassador Lukáš Kaucký and other delegates attended the opening ceremony and toured the exhibition at the University.

The exhibition showcases the development of Czech graphic design across different historical periods, highlighting the connections between design, visual culture, and national identity. Through the exhibited works and accompanying displays, visitors can explore the role of graphic design in communicating messages, preserving cultural values, and reflecting social life.

For TDTU lecturers and students, particularly those in fine arts, design, and communication-related fields, the exhibition provides an opportunity to explore international perspectives, broaden their professional knowledge, and find creative inspiration. It also offers the University community and the public in Ho Chi Minh City an opportunity to learn more about the Czech Republic, its people, and its culture, contributing to greater mutual understanding and stronger ties between the peoples of the two countries.

The exhibition runs from October 23 through November 5, 2026, at the Australia Exhibition Room and the ground-floor lobby of Building F, Ton Duc Thang University. Admission is free, and lecturers, students, and members of the public are warmly invited to visit.
