On July 1, 2019, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) announced the decision to appoint Mrs. Seija Nyholm, Finnish expert, who is the Principal of the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS).
Speaking at the Appointment Ceremony, Ms. Seija Nyholm thanked TDTU Management Board for their trust in her capablity. She also thanked the involved units which have effectively supported VFIS to keep track of the progress and well implement the admission plan. VFIS is a brainchild, not only of the enthusiastic founders of the TDTU, but also a fostering of a Finnish education environment in Vietnam by Finnish educators.
Mrs. Seija Nyholm graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Yale University (USA); Master of Management and Organization Studies at the University of Helsinki (Finland). She taught English at Sydney Grammer School (Australia) and spent a lot of time working at The English School (TES). This is an inter-level bilingual high school in Helsinki (Finland), founded in 1945. Mrs. Nyholm held several management positions at TES, starting with Assistant President, then President of Secondary School before going to Vietnam and joining the core team of VFIS.
