Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology visits and works at TDTU

On the morning of April 10, 2019 the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) paid a working visit to Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), with the attendance of  Professor. Le Vinh Danh, President; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President; Leaders of the Department for Management of Science and Technology Development and Institute of Computational Science. On the side of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Director, together with some functional departments also participate in the meeting.

At the meeting, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology proposed to invite TDTU to participate in supporting start-ups and innovation activities in HCMC in 2019 such as training on entrepreneurship and innovation, coordinating with the implementation of research projects on health, and building a student support center for scientific research.

Prof. Le Vinh Danh said that the Department's proposals are in line with the current as well as TDTU's resources and activities. In addition, the establishment of the University Consortium International (UCI) initiated by TDTU will also actively support the start-ups and creative activities in students to reach the level of famous universities worldwide.

After the meeting, the two sides agreed on a number of common objectives to implement immediately; thereby developing more cooperative programs with the aim of promoting the scale, quality and scope of scientific and technological activities in Ho Chi Minh City.
