Education and Times News – More than 3,000 high school students from Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces had the opportunity to explore academic programs and experience the learning environment at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).

On April 12, TDTU Open Day 2025 was officially launched at Ton Duc Thang University (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City).
This annual event aims to provide high school students and their parents with the opportunity to receive direct guidance on academic programs while exploring the University’s educational environment.

In his opening speech at TDTU Open Day 2025, Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of TDTU – emphasized that the rapid development of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation is profoundly transforming the way we work, while also introducing new skill requirements for the workforce.

In this context, training students to be professionally competent is no longer sufficient; each student also needs to have a positive attitude, essential life skills, and the ability to adapt flexibly in order to grow and engage in lifelong learning.

“At Ton Duc Thang University, the academic programs are designed to support the comprehensive development of individuals - not only excelling in their professional knowledge but also equipped with essential life skills. The University’s culture nurtures individuals who are disciplined, respectful, self-managed, professionally competent, and courageous in their careers - qualities that are positively recognized by both society and employers,” he shared.

Speaking to high school students, Dr. Tran Trong Dao noted that they are standing at the threshold of university life, and every choice made during this stage can become the starting point for something great.

He encouraged students to boldly set their dreams, persist in pursuing what they love, and never hesitate to ask questions, seek knowledge, and explore in order to choose the path that suits them best.

At TDTU Open Day 2025, high school students had the opportunity to visit classrooms, laboratories, simulation rooms, and practice areas, giving them a clear and realistic glimpse into their potential future university environment.

In addition, students participated in a series of interactive and educational activities hosted by specialized faculties, including Career prediction using AI; Experiencing the tablet production process and exploring the world of parasites; Taking part in a mock trial; Learning about green energy through fruit battery experiments; Joining cultural exchange activities in the “Say Hi to Foreign Languages” program; Testing their skills with 3D golf; Challenging their logic with math cipher puzzles; and Getting creative with magazine covers, fashion design, and interior design.

p>In 2025, Ton Duc Thang University plans to offer admissions for:

 

  • 43 majors under the Standard Undergraduate Program,
  • 21 majors under the Advanced Undergraduate Program,
  • 11 majors under the Undergraduate Programs in English,
  • 10 majors under the Foundation Undergraduate Programs in English,
  • 13 majors at the University’s Khanh Hoa Branch,
  • 13 majors under Joint Programs with International Universities, and
  • 13 majors under the Foundation Joint Programs with International Universities.

The University will apply four admission methods:

  • Evaluation based on high school academic performance;
  • Evaluation based on the 2025 National High School Graduation Examination results;
  • Evaluation based on results of the 2025 Competency Assessment Exam conducted by Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City;
  • Priority admission according to the University’s regulations and direct admission as per the Ministry of Education and Training’s guidelines.

Ton Duc Thang University has allocated over 80 billion VND in scholarships for students, with a wide variety of scholarships and forms of financial support.
