Following the success of the Finnish School Day in 2017, the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) Project Management Board coordinated with WCF Consulting and with the support of the Embassy of Finland, continue to organize "2018 Finnish School Day" to introduce the Finnish education model and update information on the VFIS project.
VFIS is the first Finnish International School in Vietnam and also the first international school to be established by a public university in Vietnam. VFIS was officially started construction in November 2017 with a total area of over 50,000 m2 at Tan Phong Campus of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
On the Finnish School Day in 2018, in addition to 02 sample classes with 40 students taught by Finnish teachers in the Finnish classroom style; a seminar on Finnish education and information on VFIS with the participation of Finnish ambassador to Vietnam, Finnish education specialists, teachers of primary and secondary schools in provinces and cities, and many parents who are interested in VFIS etc. took place very lively in the afternoon. Many questions, very specific and practical questions from the parents who are interested in Finnish education have been thoroughly explained by the experts of the VFIS Project Board. VFIS is considered to be the best Finnish school in all Finnish models abroad; this is also the first school in the country to be accredited by the Ministry of Education in Finland.
