On November 20, 2017, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) formally celebrated the 35th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (20/11/1982 - 20/11/2017) with various activities from morning till evening.
Students, lecturers, and employees were entitled to have a day-off. Students from different faculties had many activities to congratulate their lecturers on Teacher's Day. Speaking at the official Anniversary in Auditorium A, Prof. Le Vinh Danh, the President, congratulated all the lecturers and staff members who had been working at the University, praising them for the achievements that the TDTU team has made during the 20 years of establishment and development, as well as achievements in 2017 in particular; he also encouraged all lecturers to achieve the university’s goal to be in the TOP 500 world's best universities over the next two decades. On this occasion, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also rewarded TDTU, three groups in the University and five individuals with outstanding achievements in the construction of Strong Union organization in the academic years 2016-2017.
During the day, the Union, Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Student Association had many exciting activities such as: sports competition, flower arrangement contest, wall-bulletin exhibitions, and art exhibitions which attract attention and participation from all lecturers and students, contributing to the joyful atmosphere on this very special day.
