On 17^th April 2017, Ton Duc Thang University Association for Promoting Education warmly welcomed the delegation of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, who visited and cooperated with TDTU. The leader of the delegation is Associate Professor Truong Thi Hien, Vice President of Vietnam Association for Promoting Education. From TDTU are Professor Le Vinh Danh – President of TDTU and the Permanent TDTU Association for Promoting Education.

At the meeting, the delegation of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education highly appreciated the activities of TDTU Association for Promoting Education which is still very young. In spite of being established for just under one year, TDTU Association for Promoting Education has had many contributions to the Association and has provided practical support for students. The Association awarded scholarships to 104 disadvantaged students with the total value of 312,000,000 VND and fee-exemption and reduced tuition fees for students who are residents in areas affected by marine environment and floods. In particular, TDTU Association for Promoting Education launched a sponsorship model in which 38 teachers sponsored 54 students with a total scholarship of 795,000. 000VND during their 4 years of following school’s schedule.

The delegation of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education at the visit also involved spiritual encouragement and asked TDTU Association for Promoting Basic Education to make more efforts to enroll members, to diversify the study encouragement sources, to organize activities to support students so that they can learn and practice at the university, to become a trustworthy friend of the students and a typical example in the encouragement of studies in the country.
