The Lecturer - Staff Conference for the Academic Year 2024-2025 of Ton Duc Thang University

On September 26, 2024, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the Lecturer - Staff Conference for the Academic Year 2024-2025.

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Huy Can (MA), President of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Promoting Education, Member of the Council of Ton Duc Thang University; Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of Legal Policy Department, Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labour. In addition, from TDTU, there were Dr. Vu Anh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Vice Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President; Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President; and 233 delegates officially convened.

In the conference, the participants listened to the report on the activities of the University Council for the Academic Year 2023-2024 and the operational direction for the Academic Year 2024-2025 as well as the summary report on the tasks for the Academic Year 2023-2024 and the orientation for the Academic Year 2024-2025, presented by the Presidential Board. In addition, reports were delivered by the Trade Union of the University, the People’s Inspection Committee, and other departments on the implementation of the Resolution of the Lecturer - Staff Conference for the Academic Year 2023-2024, the public financial statement, the report on the use of funds, and the report on amendments to the regulations on the internal expenditure.

Dr. Tran Trong Dao, the President of TDTU, on behalf of the Conference’s Executive Committee, chaired the summary and discussion session. During this session, he addressed the feedback, questions, and contributions of the lecturers and staff from various Faculties, Departments, and Centers under the University.

At the conference, the election of the People’s Inspection Committee for the term 2024-2026 was conducted. The Trade Union of the University presided over the summary report and awards for the Academic Year 2023-2024. Following that, the coordinating unit (the Department of Testing and Quality Assessment) led the launch of the emulation movement for the Academic Year 2024-2025.

In his directive speech at the conference, Dr. Vu Anh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, acknowledged and congratulated the achievements of the units and individuals who made great efforts and contributions to the development of the University in the Academic Year 2023-2024. Regarding the direction for carrying out tasks in the Academic Year 2024-2025, he emphasized several solutions to the Executive Committee and the leadership of the units under the University. These solutions aim to further improve work efficiency, enhance professional capacity, and promote unity and democracy to successfully implement the Conference Resolution.
