On April 19, 2024, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized its second briefing conference for the academic year 2023-2024.
Dr. Tran Trong Dao, the President of TDTU, chaired and directed the conference, which was attended by members of the Presidential Board (Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President of TDTU, Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau - Vice President of TDTU), as well as the leaders (Heads, Deputies, Assistants) of Faculties, Departments, Institutes, Centers, and Units affiliated with TDTU.
This is a regular activity of the University, aiming at evaluating the effectiveness of assigned tasks and work throughout the academic year, and setting objectives and implementation plans for each semester, the entire academic year, and the following academic year.
At the conference, a report on monitoring the implementation following the President’s conclusions at the first briefing conference for the academic year 2023-2024 was presented. The report clearly outlined the results, progress in implementing the conclusions at the conference on the work plan for the academic year 2023-2024, actions taken, and evaluated the results of each affiliated unit. The President rigorously reminded and criticized units that have not completed or not completed tasks on time as assigned.
Next, the units presented the report on the results of human resources management and development plans for specialized units under the University to meet the standards of higher education institutions and the development conditions of the University for the period 2025-2030; The report on the implementation of objectives regarding science and technology and international publications, along with solutions to ensure the effective implementation of objectives for the academic year 2023-2024; The evaluation report on the current use of digital technology in teaching and learning at the University, essential tasks required to implement the digital transformation project; The report on the results of enhancing the quality of teaching and learning English…In particular, there was a report on the implementation plans for meeting the criteria to comply with the university education standards according to Circular No. 01/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training, issued on February 05, 2024.
The leaders of the participating units at the conference actively contributed with many opinions, suggestions, and improvements for the reports presented at the conference. They also raised questions and proposed solutions for the other units’ presenting reports.
In the conclusion of the conference, the President outlined several orientations and directives regarding the solutions for the implementation of the tasks that the units are currently undertaking and will be deploying in the future.
