From July 26 to July 28, 2023, more than 1,000 lecturers, staff and employees of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) participated in the annual summer outing 2023 of the University at Mui Ne, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province.
The program is coordinated by the University’s Trade Union every year and is a traditional event of the University, where lecturers, staff and employees of the whole university have the opportunity to meet to connect, build relationships, share and understand the University. This special annual activity is an opportunity for the whole university to look back on the results and achievements after a year of efforts, dedication and service of lecturers, staff and employees of TDTU.
Within the framework of the Program, TDTU’s lecturers, staff and employees participated in many sports, music and team-building activities. Through the activities of summarizing and reviewing the results and achievements of the University in the academic year and the activities of the Program, lecturers, staff and employees, especially new members of TDTU, understand more about the culture, people and traditions of the University, arouse the pride and service spirit of TDTU’s lecturers, staff and employees, and inspire and give energy for the new academic year.

In the academic year 2022-2023, the reputation of the university's educational quality is constantly enhanced through the recognition of many international accrediting organizations and society and continues to be an environment that gives wings to the future for more than 26,000 students from 40 undergraduate majors and more than 300 graduate students.
Apart from 15 training programs that meet AUN-QA accreditation standards and 04 training programs in the socio-economic sector that meet FIBAA accreditation standards, in 2023, the University has conducted 9 accreditation programs according to ASIIN standards and 7 training programs according to FIBAA standards. The academic year 2022-2023 continues to mark TDTU's contribution to the social community with the role assigned to the University by the City Command and has successfully performed the task of teaching the course of national defense and security education for students of 22 universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province.
The last academic year was also marked by strong internationalization activities of the University. TDTU was honored to welcome many politicians to visit the University during the academic year such as the General Secretary of the Cuban Workers' Center, Deputy Minister of Education and Youth of the Lao People's Republic, Consul Generals of countries including Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, India, Deputy Consul General of the United Kingdom in Ho Chi Minh City, etc.
In June 2023, THE university ranking organization ranked TDTU at 86th out of 928 best universities in Asia, and TDTU became the only Vietnamese university in the Top 100 best universities in Asia. TDTU has established partnerships with more than 173 universities from 34 countries around the world. During the business trip to Europe in 2023, in addition to promoting educational development cooperation with members of the UCI International University Association, the Presidential Board and the University's leaders met and exchanged and signed MOUs with new prestigious universities in Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic...
In the academic year 2022-2023, TDTU has continuously cooperated with universities and research institutes of many countries and territories around the world to successfully organize many international conferences, contributing to raising the prestige and position of the university in the world academic community and developing TDTU into an elite research university. In particular, the Journal of Information and Telecommunication (JIT), one of the two English-language journals published by the University, was listed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index with an Impact Factor index of 2.7 and a ranking of Q2 by SCIMago in 2023. The initiative "New TIR lens for high-power LEDs" researched by TDTU’s lecturers has been honored to receive USPTO Patent (USA) in 2022.
During the academic year, TDTU has cooperated with more than 100 new businesses and professional organizations; connected with more than 13 Departments of Education and Training nationwide, organized the signing of cooperation agreements and supported educational development with nearly 840 high schools. TDTU continues to perform well in its mission of training human resources, equipping trade unionists with theory and skills for trade unions in provinces and cities.
The Party Committee of the University has had many meaningful and practical activities to raise awareness for Party members about Party building work, as well as strengthen and promote strongly the spirit of solidarity and consensus to jointly bring TDTU to a sustainable and strong development; perform responsibilities to the community, organize visits and encourage soldiers and people in remote island districts, etc. Periodical activities and events of the Youth Union and Student Union of the University continue to be developed, diversifying types of activities and contributing to the social community such as academic contests, celebrations, awarding prizes for students of 5 merits at the University level, Green Summer campaign, voluntary blood donation...
