More than 500 TDTU alumni of different intakes in the university’s 25-year journey have returned here to meet their lecturers and friends in a friendly atmosphere at the founding anniversary (24/9/1997 - 24/9/2022).
On behalf of alumni, Ms. Bi Mai Vy, CEO of a market research company and alumnus of the Faculty of Business Administration (Intake 12), shared at the event:
“25 years is not a long time, but it is enough to affirm the stature of a university - the starting place for the ambitions of many generations of students. With a steadfast vision and a spirit of service to education, we are seeing great achievements of both lecturers and students in all activities: from teaching, scientific research to culture, art and sports. Ton Duc Thang University has written its name on the gold list of leading universities in Vietnam and is making steady progress on the way to affirm its brand name, reaching out to the region and the world”.

For 25 years, many generations of TDTU students have participated in various fields of social life. Everyone’s success is different, but all clearly show pride and gratitude for their second home: Ton Duc Thang University.
Mr. Huynh Van De, Director of Dam Doi Electricity of Ca Mau Power Company, an alumnus of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (class of Southern Power Corporation, Intake 1) said emotionally:
“Returning to the university on the 25th anniversary, I am extremely happy to see my lecturers again and the outstanding development of the University. The dedication of the lecturers helped us gain valuable knowledge which is the foundation for our current work”.
Ms. Ngo Thien Thao, an alumnus of the Faculty of Business Administration (Intake 13), a personnel manager and QA manager of Virtium Group - Vietnam Branch said:
“TDTU is the place that shaped me into a person with discipline, responsibility and thinking ability. After my study at the university and working period, I am very confident in my professional ability, and always feel proud of my wise decision to enter TDTU. And today, I come back with the attitude of a little bird returning to her mother, showing her how much I have grown and matured thanks to her teaching. I am really grateful!”.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Khang, Director of Marketing and E-commerce, Coca-Cola Group, alumnus of the Faculty of Business Administration (Intake 6), said:
“Returning to the university to celebrate its 25th anniversary, I am very proud to be one of its students. I completely believe in the direction and quality of education of the university to become one of the leading universities in Vietnam. I wish the university to have steady development and train more and more talents for society”.
Advantages of studying at TDTU
Talking about the advantages of TDTU students when participating in the labor market, Ms. Bi Mai Vy shared: “Life is a process of constant learning. My time studying at TDTU gave me a good foundation to start my first job and strive until now. TDTU graduates are mostly appreciated by employers for a serious attitude, moving spirit and confidence in their specialised knowledge”.
For Mr. Nguyen Hoang Khang, the advantages of studying at TDTU are good teaching quality and modern facilities. The unique university culture at TDTU has also created people with politeness, good self-discipline and applicable knowledge.
Ms. Ngo Thien Thao made a comment from her own experience: “Four years at the university, I didn't even realize the change in myself. From a shy, passive provincial student, I have become a matured and enthusiastic student who is not afraid to conquer new things”.
The success of alumni is the success of a university. The pride of the university also mostly comes from its alumni because through them, the community gets the most authentic view of the values that it has been bringing to society.
