Ton Duc Thang University Undergoes Re-Certification Assessment of Its Quality Management System in Accordance with ISO 9001:2015
Over the course of March 24 – 25, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), in coordination with the British Standards Institution (BSI), organized a re-certification assessment of its quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
Attending the opening session, on behalf of the BSI Assessment team were Mr. Vo Hong Kiet – Lead Assessor and Mr. Bach Ngoc Manh Tuong – Assessor. Representing Ton Duc Thang University were Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau – Vice President, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy – Vice President, together with representatives of leadership and ISO officers from pertinent units across the University.
In her opening remarks, Dr Dong Si Thien Chau affirmed that TDTU consistently regards ISO 9001 not merely as a management tool, but as a vital foundation for building a quality culture, standardizing processes, and enhancing the effectiveness of university governance.
The assessment program was implemented through a range of in-depth activities, including direct interviews, verification of documented evidence, and process reviews, alongside discussions on development orientations, medium and long-term plans, and the University’s quality objectives. The BSI assessment team also conducted site visits to teaching and research units in order to comprehensively evaluate the suitability and operational effectiveness of the quality management system.

This re-certification assessment not only aimed to confirm compliance with ISO 9001:2015, but also provided the University with an opportunity to conduct a comprehensive review of its system, identify areas for improvement, and enhance the quality of governance in the context of rapidly evolving higher education.
The assessment results confirmed that TDTU’s quality management system fully meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. In addition, the assessment team provided recommendations to further enhance operational effectiveness, optimize management processes, and promote continuous improvement across the entire system.
