The Lecturer – Staff Conference for the Academic Year 2025-2026 of Ton Duc Thang University
On September 27, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the Lecturer – Staff Conference for the Academic Year 2025-2026.
Among the distinguished guests attending the conference was Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ngoc, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. The conference was also honored by the presence of Dr. Dang Ngoc Tung, former Member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, and Member of the University Council; Dr. Vu Anh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Vice Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President; Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President; and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice President, along with 212 officially elected delegates from the Lecturer – Staff Conference of the University’s affiliated and subordinate units.
At the conference, delegates reviewed the University Council’s report on activities for the Academic Year 2024-2025, along with a summary of task implementation for that year and the strategic orientation for 2025–2026. They also received reports from the University’s Trade Union and the People’s Inspection Committee on the implementation of the Resolution of the Lecturer - Staff Conference for the Academic Year 2024-2025, the public financial statement and settlement, the use of various funds, amendments to the internal expenditure regulations, as well as several other reports on the University’s operations during the past academic year.
Dr. Tran Trong Dao, the University’s President, on behalf of the Conference Executive Committee, chaired the plenary session and addressed feedback from lecturers and staff across the University, led discussions, and responded to questions and recommendations from those in the University’s affiliated and subordinate units.


At the conference, the University’s Trade Union chaired the session presenting the summary and commendation reports for the Academic Year 2024-2025. On this occasion, the University’s leadership presented awards to:
- 14 collectives honored for outstanding task completion and awarded the title “Advanced Labour Collective”;
- 25 collectives honored for outstanding task completion;
- 20 lecturers and staff members recognized for significant contributions to the development of their units and the University;
- 2 centers recognized for their contributions to the University’s development;
- 9 lecturers and staff members honored for outstanding task completion and awarded the title “University-Level Emulation Soldier”;
- 36 lecturers and staff members honored for outstanding task completion and awarded the title “Advanced Worker”;
- 13 lecturers and staff members recognized as first authors of outstanding specialized journal articles;
- 2 lecturers and staff members recognized for successfully guiding students whose scientific research won high-level awards.

Then, Dr. Duong Thi Thuy Van, Member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and Head of the Department of Testing and Quality Assessment, presided over the launch of the emulation movement for the Academic Year 2025-2026.
In his address to inspire and guide all lecturers and staff at the Lecturer - Staff Conference for the Academic Year 2025-2026, Dr. Vu Anh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, commended and congratulated the collectives and individuals who made outstanding efforts and contributions to the University’s development during the Academic Year 2024-2025, and encouraged all lecturers and staff to continue improving work efficiency, enhancing professional capacity, and fostering solidarity and democracy to successfully implement the Conference’s Resolution. Regarding the direction and key tasks for the Academic Year 2025-2026, he outlined nine priority missions for the University’s leadership and all affiliated and subordinate units to focus on, ensuring continued contributions to TDTU’s development, especially in the context of recent significant changes and newly issued central policies and resolutions.
