The 28th Anniversary Celebration of Ton Duc Thang University: Preserving University Cultural Traditions and Fostering the Aspiration for Innovation and Creativity
On the morning of September 24, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a series of celebratory activities marking the Ceremony of the 28th Anniversary of the University, as a constant stream that carries forward the University’s traditions and academic cultural values, nurturing and promoting the aspiration for innovation and creativity among the collective body of lecturers, staff, and students over the past 28 years, as well as preparing for future achievements.
“Proud to be TDTU” Program
To celebrate the 28th Anniversary of TDTU, and to instill pride in every generation of TDTU lecturers, staff, students, and alumni in the history of the University’s establishment and development; while also spreading the love for the homeland, noble life ideals, a sense of responsibility, the aspiration to contribute, and the distinctive identity of TDTU students to the community and society, the University organized a variety of student activities such as the “Proud to be TDTU” Program, the “TDTU in Me” Online Contest, and the Flashmob Dance Competition celebrating the 28th Anniversary (under the theme “TDTU - Shining Aspiration”) on September 24, 2025.
The “Proud to be TDTU” Program commenced with a performance of 28 Ao Dai collections, featuring traditional student attire and lotus motifs, presented by TDTU alumni and students.
Following that, the University’s leaders, lecturers, staff, students, and alumni joined together in singing the “Ton Duc Thang University March”, the traditional song that embodies the spirit of inspiration and unity, connecting generations in pride and aspiration, with the determination to continue writing the radiant journey of development of the beloved University.
Offering Incense in Commemoration of President Ton Duc Thang on the University’s Anniversary
In a solemn and warm atmosphere, the University’s leaders, lecturers, staff, students, and alumni of Ton Duc Thang University gathered to reverently offer incense in commemoration of President Ton Duc Thang on campus. This ceremony was held to honor and express profound gratitude to President Ton Duc Thang - the esteemed leader who left behind enduring values that have laid the foundation for the University’s establishment and development.
Honoring Traditions - Embracing the Future with Aspiration for Innovation and Creativity
On the occasion of the 28th Founding Anniversary, the University’s leaders, unit heads, staff and lecturers gathered for collective commemorative photos, strengthening internal solidarity across the TDTU community. Together, they revisited the University’s proud history - a legacy built and nurtured with dedication and unity by generations of leaders, lecturers, staff, and students. This journey has been marked by significant achievements, particularly within the recent five-year development plan under the guidance of the University’s leadership team for the term 2021-2026.
