On March 18, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from the University of Regina (Canada). This is one of Canada’s reputable public universities, with strengths in economics, technology, and applied sciences.
The delegation from the University of Regina was led by Dr. Jeff Keshen, President and delegation leader, and included leaders in charge of international cooperation as well as other members. The session was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Hong Ha, Consul from the Embassy of Canada in Vietnam. Representing TDTU were Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President of the University, along with leaders of relevant units. In addition, the session was honored by the presence of representatives from the Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City.

Within the framework of the working session, both institutions discussed potential areas of cooperation, including Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, and related fields. They also explored the implementation of collaborative activities such as exchange activities for lecturers and students, joint research, conference organization, and co-supervision of students.
Notably, as part of the visit, TDTU and the University of Regina signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Student Exchange Program Agreement, establishing an important foundation for implementing bilateral cooperation programs in the near future.
After the working session, the delegation from the University of Regina visited and worked with the Vietnam–Finland International School (VFIS). During the visit, the delegation introduced the University of Regina, as well as study opportunities in Canada for VFIS students. This activity not only helped students access information about international study opportunities but also opened up prospects for learning and development in an advanced educational environment.
This visit and working session mark an important step in expanding TDTU’s international cooperation network, while also contributing to the promotion of learning, research, and academic exchange opportunities between Vietnam and Canada.
