On the afternoon of January 13, 2019, the closing ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Football Championship (HCMC) in 2018 took place at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium (TDTU).

This tournament was attended by 16 strongest teams in the City from different universities and colleges including TDTU, HCMC University of Industry, HCMC University of Agriculture and Forestry (Nong Lam University), University of Transport and Communications, National Academy of Public Administration, Banking University of HCMC, University of Finance and Marketing, HCMC University of Technology, HCMC University of Pedagogy, HCM University of Architecture, HCMC University of Technology and Education, Van Hien University, College of Transport and Communications, RMIT, Hoa Sen University, and HCM University of Physical Education and Sports.
Starting from December 23, 2018, after nearly a month of the competition, the tournament identified two of the strongest teams participating in the finals, they are TDTU and Nong Lam University.

After 80 minutes of dramatic competition, the match ended with a score of 3:1, the victory belongs to TDTU. The home team has won and successfully defended its title as champion of HCMC Student Football Championship. At the same time, TDTU player Luong Kien Tuan was awarded the Best Player Award. 

With this good result in the early days of the new year-2019; TDTU student’s activities will have a breakthrough year of development with more great achievements.
