TDTU Holds the Ceremony to Announce and Award the Commemorative Medal “For the Cause of Education”, the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Teachers, and the Decision on the Appointment of Associate Professor 2024
On December 24, 2024, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly held the Ceremony to announce and award the Commemorative Medal “For the Cause of Education”, the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Teachers, and the Decision on the Appointment and Reappointment of Associate Professor 2024.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung – Former member of the Party Central Committee, Former Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Member of the University Council; Dr. Vu Anh Duc – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Tran Trong Dao – Chairman of the Science and Training Council, President of TDTU; Prof. Dr. Sci Phan Quoc Khanh – Chairman of the Junior Council for Professorship 2024; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc – Vice Chairman of the Junior Council for Professorship 2024; along with the University Council members, Presidential Board, leaders, lecturers, and staff from various units of TDTU.
During the ceremony, the University announced the decision to appoint and reappoint the title of Associate Professor to 9 lecturers. Additionally, Dr. Duong Thi Thuy Van – Head of the Department of Testing and Quality Assessment received the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Teachers from the Minister of Education and Training, and 38 lecturers were awarded the Commemorative Medal “For the Cause of Education.”

On behalf of the newly appointed Associate Professors and honorees, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach – Director of the International Cooperation, Research & Training Institute, expressed his happiness and honor in receiving this prestigious title, recognizing the efforts and contributions throughout his career. He also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude for the support, guidance, and opportunities provided by the Presidential Board and colleagues, which have enabled him to achieve his current success. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach expressed a desire and emphasized his commitment to the University’s mission in education, research, and development. “I hope that, in the near future, many more of our colleagues will strive to meet the necessary criteria for appointments as Professors or Associate Professors, contributing actively to the University’s overall development and its mission in education, research, and training”, he stated.
