On September 28, 2018, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly held the September 2018 Graduation ceremony. There were 46 new post-graduates, 1,662 new bachelors, and engineers in this event.
In the opening speech, Prof. Le Vinh Danh, TDTU President, congratulated the new post-graduates, bachelors and engineers for their effective efforts to complete the difficult academic programs. He hoped that the post-graduates and the graduates will be the core force in contributing to raising the academic and high-quality labor force for the country and the region for the present and future.
In addition to the knowledge and profession trained in accordance with international standards with clear quantitative outcome criteria; TDTU students also acquired English skills with TOEIC 500 certificate, IT skills with MOS 750 / 1,000 certificate, good personalities and health. This is a great strength to help them to have success in life and career advancement.
On this occasion, TDTU also rewarded 83 new excellent bachelors and engineers; 60 bachelors and engineers graduated before the schedule; and 11 bachelors and engineers with high English outcome scores. At the Ceremony, the representative of newly graduated bachelors and engineers, Bachelor Ly Kim Phat, the Faculty of Information Technology, said: "Ton Duc Thang University is not only a university but also my secondary home; This place contains many memories, enthusiasm, hopes and youth ambitions of many generations of students. The road ahead has many hardships and challenges; However, let's not forget that we are all TDTU students; with "discipline, politeness, professionalism, creativity, serving" features; We come out to life for start-up, we may fall or fail to prove that we are mature enough to build our futures, contributing to the reputation of the university named after beloved Uncle Ton.
On behalf of the university, Prof. Le Vinh Danh thanked the lecturers and the staff of the Faculties and Departments for the efforts to accomplish the task that entrusted by the society; thanked the parents for all the love, concern and solid support for the students. His remark, once again, mentioned gratitude, a good characteristic of many generations of TDTU students.
