On October 2, 2023, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Viet Nam National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, organized a seminar on “The current situation of Occupational Safety and Health, and related research concerns from 2025 to 2030”.

The seminar was led by Dr. Nguyen Anh Tho, Director of Viet Nam National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour. Attending the seminar was Mr. Pham Anh Thang, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, experts, scientists, lecturers from universities, research institutes, State management agencies, and companies in the field of Occupational Safety and Health.

On TDTU’s side, there was the presence of Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President of TDTU, Dr. Ho Ngo Anh Dao, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety, and scientific researchers, lecturers and students.

At the seminar, nearly 10 thematic reports were presented with the aim of summarizing scientific and technological research achievements on Occupational Safety and Health over the period 2017-2023, and identifying priority research orientations for the period 2025–2030. The seminar “The current situation of Occupational Safety and Health, and related research concerns from 2025 to 2030” is held in 3 regions of Vietnam, Northern, Central and Southern.

This seminar is an occasion for experts, researchers, lecturers, managers and specialized planners to share information, knowledge and experience about scientific and technological research as well as the current situation of Occupational Safety and Health in Vietnam. Thereby, related tasks, orientations, and solutions to enhance scientific research are recommended to deal with shortcomings of Occupational Safety and Health in Vietnam as a whole and in the Southern region in particular, over the period of 2025-2030.
