On January 8, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted the Final Round of the “TDTU Student Startup Idea Search for the Academic Year 2025-2026” (the Competition), featuring the Top 12 outstanding projects selected through highly competitive preliminary rounds.
The event was attended by Ms. Dang Thi Luan – Acting Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Innovative Startup Support, representing an organization that supports and promotes the innovative startup ecosystem. From TDTU, the event welcomed the presence of Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son – Vice President; Mr. Tang Khac Quy – Director of the Center of Enterprise Cooperation and Alumni and Head of the Organizing Committee, along with leaders of Faculties and units, and a large number of TDTU students who came to support and encourage the finalist teams.
In his speech at the event, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son emphasized: “The University consistently prioritizes fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students through various practical activities. The ‘TDTU Student Startup Idea Search’ is not only an academic platform but also a meaningful environment where students are encouraged to turn creative ideas into reality and gradually approach real-world startup practices.”
After passing the Final Screening Round with strict evaluation criteria, 12 outstanding teams advanced to the Final Round. Here, teams participated in two key components: project presentations and Q&A sessions before the judging panel. Through this process, the novelty, feasibility, and development potential of each project were clarified, while also demonstrating students’ creative thinking, argumentation skills, and readiness to implement their ideas in practice.
The startup ideas and projects showcased at the Competition clearly reflected students’ proactive and innovative mindset, while also contributing to the identification and nurturing of initiatives and products capable of meeting real-world community needs.
