On the morning of December 13, 2023, FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) together with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) officially opened the FIBAA Institutional Accreditation on-site visit.
Attending the opening ceremony, on the side of FIBAA Evaluation Panel, there were Ms. Viktoria Dermanowski - Project Manager, representative of the FIBAA Expert Panel and Prof. Marion Halfmann - Lower Rhine University - Chairman of the Professional Council of the FIBAA Expert Panel, and experts including Prof. Anke Müßig - University of Luxembourg; Prof. Daniela Heid - Federal University of Applied Administrative Sciences; Dr. Duong Nhu Hung – Bach Khoa University, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Maik Oneschkow - FedEx Express Germany Co., Ltd., and Mr. Christoph Back - Leuphana University of Lüneburg.
On TDTU’s side, there were Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President, Chairman of TDTU Science and Training Council, Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau - Vice President along with leaders of departments, faculties, lecturers, staff, and students of the University.
At the Ceremony, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - TDTU President said: “During the past 26 years, to get closer to the goal of developing into a research university in the top 60 universities in Asia, the University has paid great attention to the quality of human training, investment in facilities and a modern, dynamic learning environment, promoting international cooperation, and strengthening enterprise connections. Our main goal in this assessment process is to conduct a comprehensive review of TDTU’s systems and operations. Our university hopes to absorb the important recommendations of the FIBAA Expert Panel to continuously improve the quality of the University’s operations.”
In her speech, Ms. Viktoria Dermanowski - Project Manager, representative of the FIBAA Expert Panel shared: "In a world that is constantly changing and developing, persistently developing higher education to enable graduates to face and solve the world’s difficulties and challenges is very important." She also asked TDTU representatives and the expert panel to have an open dialogue and discuss the university’s strengths and areas needing improvement in order to provide recommendations and motivation for the university’s further development of training quality. This is also an opportunity for both sides to expand their vision and learn from each other.
The FIBAA Institutional Accreditation on-site visit at TDTU takes place from December 13 to December 15, 2023, including working sessions with TDTU’s leaders; checking evidence; interviewing stakeholders including lecturers, support staff, students, and alumni; and visiting the university’s facilities. Interview sessions are conducted according to the principles of honesty, objectivity, the right subjects, and meeting the regulations of FIBAA organization. Thereby, the FIBAA Expert Panel will identify the university’s strengths and areas needing improvement and propose recommendations to improve the quality of the university’s operations. Based on FIBAA quality assessment standards, the Expert Panel will make an assessment on the level of meeting educational quality standards of the University.

FIBAA has a mission to promote quality and transparency in education by conducting accreditation of higher education institutions and study programs on the basis of European education quality standards.
