On May 6, 2023, the closing ceremony of the theoretical and professional course on trade union work for trade union officials in An Giang province was held at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
Attending the ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Thien Phu - Executive Committee member of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Provincial Party Committee member, Chairman of An Giang Provincial Confederation of Labour. From TDTU, Dr. Vu Anh Duc - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council together with representatives of Leaders and lecturers of relevant faculties welcomed the delegation.
The course has 37 learners who are key trade union officials of An Giang province, taking place from August 15, 2022 to March 12, 2023. It provides learners with theoretical and professional knowledge, skills, and complementary knowledge in order to improve the operational efficiency of the Trade Union in the current context. At the end of the course, 100% of the learners graduated, of which 6 learners achieved excellent results.
In his speech, Dr. Vu Anh Duc congratulated the learners for their efforts to complete the course, and affirmed that TDTU is always ready to provide qualified theoretical and professional training programs in trade union work, in line with the orientations and best meet the working needs of trade union officials in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Phu highly appreciated the professionalism in training and consulting work of TDTU and expressed his wish that in the future there will be more training courses for officials of An Giang province in particular and other provinces in the southern region in general.
The course was jointly implemented by TDTU and the An Giang Provincial Confederation of Labour to improve the operational efficiency of the Trade Union in the current context, renew trade union activities in accordance with the Resolution 02 of the Politburo, and build a team of staff with strong expertise and skills in the new development period of the economy - society.
