On November 7, 2020, the Faculty of Business Administration, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), with cooperation from PATA Vietnam Chapter (under the PATA Pacific Asia Tourism Association) and SANT Viet Nam Company, held a ceremony to award the Certificate of Vietnam Tourism Occupational Standards (VTOS) to TDTU students.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet - General Director; Mr. Nguyen Tien Do - Deputy Director of SANT Vietnam (VTOS certificate training unit); Ms. Chau Thi Y Khoa - Director of Emm Hotel of Thien Minh Group, FO appraiser; Ms. Do Thi Hong Chau - Food and Beverage Manager at InterContinental Saigon, FB Appraiser.
Through the process of learning and completing the VTOS national vocational certificate exam, students of Intakes 21, 22, 23 majoring in Hospitality Management - high quality program achieved VTOS certificate for FO (Reception) and FB (Food and Beverage).
VTOS national certificate recognizes learners who have achieved qualifications and professional skills to operate in the Tourism and Hospitality industries nationwide. This certificate is widely recognized in major tourism businesses and is one of the criteria to rank hotels in Vietnam.
This is one of the vocational certificates that TDTU cooperates with enterprises to train and equip students, especially those in the high-quality program, with a solid foundation of knowledge and practical skills for higher capacity and a competitive advantage in domestic and international labor markets.
