Ton Duc Thang University Vietnam - Finland International School End of the School Year 2023 – 2024 Ceremony
On June 5, 2024, Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS), affiliate school of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), held the End of the School Year Ceremony 2023 - 2024.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dang Nguyen Thinh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 7, Ho Chi Minh City; Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of TDTU; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President of TDTU, Director of VFIS; Ms. Miekk-Oja Suvi Kristiina, Acting Head of VFIS. Also, attending the ceremony included representatives of Universities, Preschools, close partners and leaders of TDTU units, VFIS teachers, parents and students of Grades 1-12.
Thanks to the efforts of teachers and students, along with the companionship and support of parents, the school year 2023 - 2024 at VFIS has ended successfully. VFIS students are increasingly showing a growth mindset, great vitality, and inner strength, reflecting the concept of Sisu of the Finnish education.
At the ceremony, the School awarded certificates of completion, including for the Primary, Secondary, and High School Programs, to more than 500 students of Grades 5, 9, and 12. Moreover, the annual VFIS Award of 3 categories, namely the Sisu Award, Talent Award and Innovation Award, was presented to students who have made outstanding academic efforts and accomplished exceptional cultural, artistic and sports achievements, as well as to those who have displayed initiatives and provided innovative ideas for the VFIS community during the past school year.
With a solid foundation of knowledge, foreign language competency of IELTS Band Score 7.0 and above, as well as diverse and practical life skills trained at VFIS, Grade 12 students of the school year 2023 - 2024 are ready for a new journey at prestigious universities at home and abroad. Many of them, through the direct admission policy specifically for the VFIS high school graduates, have chosen TDTU as the destination to continue their training and studies on their educational path.
