VNExpress Newspaper: TDTU Organizes International Conference on Computational Intelligence

The ICCIES 2026 conference brought together AI and intelligent technology experts, presented 132 selected research papers from 16 countries, and promoted international cooperation. It took place on April 2-3.

The International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Engineering Science 2026 (ICCIES 2026) was organized by Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in collaboration with Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST, Poland) and University College Dublin (UCD, Ireland). The event was held at the TDTU Khanh Hoa campus.

The conference attracted 290 scientific papers from authors in 16 countries, including South Korea, Japan, Germany, Poland, France, Singapore, and Ireland. Following the peer review process, 132 papers were accepted for presentation, representing 45.51%, reflecting the increasingly high academic quality of ICCIES.

Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice Rector of TDTU, delivered the welcoming remarks at the conference.

With the theme "Innovations, Advancements, and Future Trends in Intelligent Computing Research in Engineering Sciences," the panel discussions focused on interdisciplinary research directions including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, intelligent systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, and data analytics. According to the university representative, the topics discussed have high applicability in healthcare, agriculture, smart cities, and the digital economy.

A highlight of ICCIES 2026 is the publication of research papers in the Springer Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) anthology. These papers are subsequently indexed on academic databases such as the Web of Science and Scopus, enhancing the value and reach of the research.

Professor Dominik Slezak (University of Warsaw, Poland) presented a paper on the topic "Information Systems & Data Summaries".

In the context of artificial intelligence and digital technology becoming drivers of socio-economic development, ICCIES 2026, in addition to being a forum for presenting results, also contributes to shaping technological trends, promoting international cooperation, and developing an innovation ecosystem.

Dr. Nurzada Amangeldy (L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan) presented a paper at the conference.

ICCIES 2026 is a forum for presenting research, providing opportunities for academic networking, strengthening international cooperation, and disseminating technological knowledge to the global research community. The conference contributes to enhancing the prestige, organizational capacity, and academic standing of TDTU internationally, while also promoting research and digital transformation in Vietnam.
