On the morning of 23 September, 2007, Ton Duc Thang University was honored to welcome Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh to visit and attend the 20th Anniversary of the establishment. (24/09/1997-24/09/2017).
On behalf of the Party and Government, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh expressed her pride and praised Ton Duc Thang University's achievements in 20 years of construction and development. In particular, Ton Duc Thang University has become a typical university in many fields: research; application of science and technology; University autonomy and student cultural education. The Vice President hopes that Ton Duc Thang University's lecturers, staff and students continue to improve the teaching and learning to meet the standards of international advanced universities, to expand facilities, to organize traditional education activities, to contribute to the training and to supply the country with high quality human resources.
Also at the ceremony, the Vice President of Vietnam on behalf of the Government awarded the Government's Emulation Flag to Ton Duc Thang University's lecturers, staff and students for their excellent performance, leading the Emulation Group of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2016 and donated 20 scholarships to students on the occasion of the new school year.
