On June 21, 2024, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized a Conference on joint teaching the National Defense and Security Education program for the academic year 2024 - 2025.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Thai Hoai Nam - Senior official and representative of the Department of National Defense and Security Education, Ministry of Education and Training; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Vy Hoang - Member of the Council of National Defense and Security Education of Military Region 7; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Tan Lap - Standing member of the Council of National Defense and Security Education of Ho Chi Minh City; and representatives of all 22 higher education institutions at which the Defense and Security Education courses are taught by TDTU, attended the Conference.

From TDTU, chairing the Conference was Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Chairman of the Science and Training Council, President of TDTU, and Director of the TDTU Center for National Defense and Security Education. Besides, there was the presence of Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President of TDTU; Colonel Nguyen Tien Loc - Deputy Executive Director of the Center for National Defense and Security Education; and leaders of Departments, Institutes, and units under TDTU.

At the Conference, representatives of the institutions and the Board of Directors of TDTU Center for National Defense and Security Education discussed and exchanged work related to organizing the National Defense and Security Education programs such as distributing study time plans during the year institutions, number of soldiers participating in study, learning policies, regulations of training and organizing activities for students, among others.

Within the framework of the Conference, representatives of the institutions and TDTU signed a memorandum of understanding to carry out tasks with the University.
