On March 16, 2023, the Delegation of the Department of Education and Training together with the School Boards of 42 high schools in Dong Thap province led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Danh - Deputy Director of the Department - visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Welcoming the Delegation were Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President, and Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President and leaders of functional units from TDTU.
In recent years, TDTU and Dong Thap province have had many successful cooperation results, especially in the education and training. According to the summary report, there have been 976 students of the province studying at TDTU since 2018. The University has sent lecturers to accompany the province’s students with scientific research activities and created opportunities for them to access, visit and experience the university environment.
TDTU has provided 1.4 billion VND in scholarships to the province’s students in various forms, such as admission priority scholarships for high schools signing an agreement with TDTU, study encouragement scholarships, scholarships for students under the preferential treatment policy, scholarships during the COVID-19 pandemic, etc. Over the years, the province’s students studying at TDTU have graduated with a rate of 99.6% and got a job within 1 year after graduation.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Danh expressed his sincere thanks to TDTU’s Presidential Board and lecturers for warmly welcoming the Delegation, as well as caring and supporting the province in activities relating to education, internationalization, and career counseling for students. He was also very impressed with the international development of TDTU through the University’s position in the rankings in recent years, the scientific management model of 4.0 technology, and the modern facilities at TDTU.
On this occasion, TDTU together with the School Boards of 42 high schools of Dong Thap province signed an MOU, in which both sides agreed to cooperate on the contents of education, training, scientific research, technology transfer, admission counseling, scholarships for the province’s students studying at TDTU, and training high-quality human resources to serve the needs of socio-economic development of the province.
