Ton Duc Thang University Supports Prospective Students Throughout the 2026 Admissions Season
At this crucial stage of the university admissions season, choosing the right program and arranging preferences strategically are important decisions for every applicant. With the aim of supporting applicants in making informed choices, on July 4, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) once again participated in the 2026 University Admissions Counselling Day, where its representatives provided direct consultation and answered questions regarding admissions, academic programs, and study opportunities at the University.
The event, jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education and Training, was held simultaneously in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, attracting more than 90 universities, research institutes, and higher education institutions, along with tens of thousands of students and parents.
As one of the most visited consultation booths at the event, TDTU’s booth continuously welcomed large numbers of applicants and parents seeking information. In particular, the introduction of 10 new programs and majors in 2026 attracted considerable interest from students looking for fields of study aligned with emerging development trends and future workforce demands.
At the consultation booth, TDTU’s admissions specialists, lecturers, and student ambassadors provided detailed guidance on a wide range of topics of interest to applicants, including how to register and strategically arrange admission preferences, admission methods, admission requirements, tuition fees and scholarship policies, the learning environment, international study opportunities, collaborative programs with leading universities worldwide, and career prospects across the University’s academic programs.
Beyond providing admissions information, TDTU’s advisers also offered career guidance, helping applicants gain a better understanding of their strengths, interests, and future aspirations so they could make well-informed choices about their academic programs. Many parents also expressed their appreciation for the dedication of the advisory team, whose personalized guidance and detailed responses to individual enquiries gave families greater confidence in supporting their children during the admission preference registration process.
For applicants who were unable to attend the event, TDTU continues to provide multiple admissions counselling channels throughout the admission preference registration period. The University’s admissions advisory team remains available to offer both in-person and online support, helping applicants understand the admissions regulations, choose academic programs that match their interests and aspirations, and develop an effective admission preference strategy.
In particular, at 3:00 p.m. on July 6, 2026, TDTU will host an admissions counselling livestream on the University’s official Facebook Fanpage. The livestream will feature admissions specialists, lecturers, and representatives of the University’s academic units, who will provide the latest updates on the 2026 admissions process, offer guidance on registering and strategically arranging admission preferences, and answer questions from applicants and parents. The program will provide applicants with comprehensive, accurate, and timely advice ahead of the admission preference registration period, enabling them to develop a suitable admissions strategy and maximize their chances of gaining admission to TDTU.
In 2026, TDTU offers 52 majors under the Standard Program, 20 majors under the Advanced Program, 11 majors under the High Quality in English Program, 10 majors under the Foundation High Quality in English Program, 14 majors under the Joint Training Program and 12 majors under the Foundation Joint Training Program through three admission methods:
- Method 1: Comprehensive admission based on the results of the 2026 National High School Graduation Exam, applicants’ high school academic performance, and other qualifications.
- Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2026 Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) Competency Assessment Test.
- Method 3: Direct admission in accordance with the admissions regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Notably, from the 2026-2027 academic year, TDTU will introduce its Talent Program for STEM disciplines and other key academic fields. Freshmen admitted in the 2026 intake will have the opportunity to apply for scholarships and join the program to further develop their potential, strengthen their research capabilities, foster innovation, and enhance international integration.
In addition to participating in major university admissions events nationwide, TDTU has actively implemented a wide range of initiatives to support high school students. These include career guidance sessions at high schools, the University’s “4-Hour”, “8-Hour”, and “12-Hour” university experience programs, as well as various other in-person and online admissions counselling activities.
These initiatives will continue throughout the admissions season, reflecting TDTU’s commitment to supporting applicants and parents at every stage of their journey – from choosing the right academic program and identifying the most suitable university environment to securing admission through informed and well-considered decisions.
