Ton Duc Thang University Welcomes and Works with the Delegation from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) – HKUST (GZ)
On November 21, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed and held a working session with the delegation from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Guangzhou Campus (HKUST (GZ)). The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in education, scientific research, and academic exchange between the two universities.
Representing TDTU at the meeting was Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President. The HKUST (GZ) delegation was led by Professor Ting Chuen Pong, Vice President.
During the session, the two institutions discussed key areas of collaboration, including the implementation of short-term and long-term student exchange programs lasting one to two semesters; lecturer and expert exchange programs; joint research initiatives; and the co‑organization of scientific conferences and workshops in areas of mutual interest such as Information Technology, Smart Manufacturing, Business, Environment, and Biotechnology.

Notably, within the framework of the meeting, TDTU and HKUST (GZ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Student Exchange Agreement. These documents establish a solid legal foundation for the effective and comprehensive implementation of future cooperative activities.

This visit and signing ceremony mark an important milestone in expanding TDTU’s network of strategic international partners among leading universities in Asia. Both universities expressed their intention to soon implement practical collaborative programs, creating more opportunities for students and lecturers to study, conduct research in an international environment, and enhance global competencies.
