Ton Duc Thang University Welcomes and Works with the Consulate General of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City
On September 26, 2025, Ms. Palina Karpava, Acting Consul General, together with a delegation from the Consulate General of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, visited and held a working session to promote educational and research cooperation between Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Belarusian partners.
Welcoming and working with the delegation on behalf of TDTU were Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach, Director of the International Cooperation, Research and Training Institute; along with representatives of leaders from several Departments and Faculties of the University.
In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of TDTU, emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with European educational institutions, highlighting Belarus as a potential partner in the fields of science and technology, engineering, economics and management, as well as language and culture. The two sides discussed key directions for future cooperation, including lecturer and student exchange programs, joint scientific research and technology transfer, co-organizing international academic conferences and seminars in areas such as technology, engineering, social sciences, environment, energy, and renewable energy, co-chairing joint research projects and co-authoring international publications.
In particular, to facilitate and encourage Belarusian students to study at TDTU, the University has awarded full scholarships for undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese as well as those taught in English.
The visit of the delegation from the Consulate General of Belarus marks an important milestone, helping to lay the foundation for training, research, and academic exchange cooperation between TDTU and Belarusian universities, thereby enhancing international standing and expanding learning and research opportunities for lecturers and students of both sides.
