TDTU Welcomes Representatives from Macquarie University, Australia: Opening Numerous Opportunities for Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation
On June 11, 2025, a delegation from Macquarie University (Australia), led by Professor Anthony Cahalan – Vice President in charge of International Cooperation, visited and held a working session at TDTU.
Welcoming the delegation, on behalf of TDTU, were Dr. Vo Hoang Duy – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach – Director of the International Cooperation, Research and Training Institute (INCRETI); along with leaders of several functional units of the University.
During the working session, both institutions discussed in detail the implementation of cooperative initiatives based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on May 19, 2025, during the TDTU delegation’s working visit to Australia, led by the President, Dr. Tran Trong Dao.
The cooperative initiatives discussed include:
- Implementing the development of joint training programs at undergraduate and graduate levels in the fields of Business and Engineering.
- Promoting research collaboration in key areas such as business analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), etc.
- Enhancing student, lecturer, and researcher exchange activities between the two universities, particularly in the fields of Business, Information Technology, and Engineering.
- Discussing the potential for sending lecturers/experts from Macquarie University to teach, organize workshops, and seminars at TDTU, while creating opportunities for high-quality academic exchanges for lecturers and students.
- Co-organizing or attending conferences and thematic seminars held by both universities in either Australia or Vietnam.
This visit and working session mark a significant step in promoting the cooperative relationship between TDTU and Macquarie University – one of Australia’s leading universities (ranked 133 in the QS Rankings 2025). The event not only opens numerous new academic and research opportunities but also reaffirms TDTU’s commitment to increasingly extensive international integration in the field of higher education.
