From 24 December 2019 to 27 December 2019, representatives of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) visited and worked with Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES), Lao PDR.

Members of the hosting department were Mrs. Thongmy Duansakda (Deputy Director of the Department of Student Affairs) and Mr. Thavone Oudomsinh (Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation). Leaders of MOES expressed their approval of Laotians students’ study results at TDTU and said this would be crucial human resource for their governmental agencies and national education centers. MOES continued contracting TDTU to provide education program for Laotians students, and proposed that TDTU continue to provide scholarships for Laotian students in the 2020 intakes.

Also in this business trip, the university's representatives worked with a few universities from Vientiane and the Northeast regions of Thailand, including Nakhon Phanom University, Udon Thani Rajabhat University, and National University of Laos. They all expressed their will to cooperate with TDTU in the field of education, research as well as experience exchange of developing an autonomous university.
