On October 11, 2023, the leadership delegation of 23 prestigious universities and Canada’s largest educational organizations such as: University of British Columbia (the 41st  according to THE World University Ranking 2023), McGill University (the 49th according to THE WUR 2023), Université de Montréal (the 111th according to THE WUR 2023), etc. had a visit to Ton Duc Thang University.
Attending the reception and working session of the delegation, there was the presence of Dr. Tran Trong Dao - TDTU President; Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach - Director of the International Cooperation, Research and Training Institute and a number of leaders of some units under TDTU.
At the meeting, many ideas for potential future cooperation on specific activities were exchanged, these issues related to many aspects, such as exchange of lecturers and students; developing a joint training program; collaboration on research and technology transfer; developing teaching staff and focusing on sustainable development, etc. 
This is a significant event in a series of events honoring 50 years of diplomatic relations between Canada and Vietnam, and is also an opportunity for Canadian universities to visit, gain understanding and expand cooperation opportunities with other Vietnamese higher education organizations – Canada’s largest trading partner in ASEAN and a priority country in Canada’s International Education Strategy.
Canada is a country with the world’s top-quality education. In particular, the higher education system is specifically structured to be very diversified, with numerous research universities ranked among the best in the world alongside with practice-oriented universities to meet the needs of the labor market and future development goals.
