On January 26, 2024, the Delegation of the Department of Education and Training (DOET) of Tay Ninh province led by Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc - Director of the DOET of Tay Ninh Province along with Principals, Vice Principals of the High schools in Tay Ninh Province visited Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
On TDTU’s side, attending the reception and working session, there was the presence of Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau - Vice President and leaders of a number of Departments, Faculties, Institutes, and Centers.
Speaking at the working session, Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau gave New Year’s greetings to the Delegation, thanked the Delegation for taking the time to visit the University and looked back at the results of cooperation with High Schools in Tay Ninh Province in recent times and hoped to continue expanding cooperation in the future. Recently, the University has connected and cooperated with high schools in provinces, especially Mekong Delta provinces such as An Giang and Kien Giang, to organize on-site tours for experiences, learning and career and major orientation for high school students. This activity has been organized regularly by the University and has achieved much success, providing good support for admissions and implementing the University’s social responsibilities.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc - Director of Tay Ninh Province’s DOET thanked the University for the warm welcome to the delegation, and sent New Year wishes and good health to TDTU lecturers. Besides, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc highly appreciated the university governance model and the discipline in living and studying of students. He was impressed by the University’s modern, comfortable facilities, international standard, green and clean environment. At the same time, he believed that TDTU has gained great achievements in creating an advanced university brand, being one of the universities that trains emerging professions and fields in the new society, besides is enthusiastic support for scholarships, tuition exemptions, tuition compensation, ect. and has won the support of students’ parents, enterprises and the social community.
Discussing at the meeting, representatives of Tay Ninh Province’s DOET hoped that TDTU would continue to accompany and cooperate with the province in the field of education, especially in scholarship granting to students with difficult circumstances.
The Board of Directors of Tay Ninh Province’s High Schools proposed that in the coming time, TDTU could organize more on-site tours to experience the higher education environment for students in the province, arrange for TDTU’s lecturers and students with high achievements in studying and training to come to high schools to develop scientific research for students.
In recent years, TDTU has been educating more than 431 students in Tay Ninh Province and has spent more than 290 million VND to provide scholarships for students of Tay Ninh Province studying at the University. Besides, the University also implements tuition exemption and reduction for students according to policies. The rate of TDTU students having jobs after graduation within 1 year reaches 99.4% (data in 2022) and they are always highly appreciated by domestic and foreign enterprises for the spirit of devotion, professional capacity and disciplinary virtue.
