Ton Duc Thang University Hosts the International Conference on Advanced Materials and Sustainable Development – iCAMSD 2026

From July 12 to 15, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted the International Conference on Advanced Materials and Sustainable Development 2026 (iCAMSD 2026). The conference serves as an international academic forum for exchanging the latest research trends in advanced materials, structural mechanics, nanotechnology, and intelligent systems for sustainable development.

Initiated and hosted by TDTU, iCAMSD 2026 was co-organized with several prestigious international universities, including Flinders University (Australia), Keele University (United Kingdom), Ghent University (Belgium), Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia), Banzarov Buryat State University (Russia), and Central University of Karnataka (India).

This year’s conference attracted nearly 200 scientific papers from researchers representing universities and research institutes across 16 countries. The event provided a valuable platform for scientists, researchers, and technology enterprises to present research findings, exchange academic ideas, foster collaboration, and promote technology transfer. Papers selected through a rigorous peer-review process by the Scientific Committee will be published in the Advanced Structured Materials book series by Springer Nature.

One of the highlights of iCAMSD 2026 was the participation of distinguished Keynote Speakers who are internationally recognized leaders in modern scientific research. Among them were several scholars ranked among the world's top 1% most influential scientists, including Prof. Holm Altenbach (Structural Mechanics), Prof. Krasimir Vasilev (Biomaterials), Prof. Adam Lee (Sustainable Chemistry), and Prof. Peixuan Guo (RNA Nanotechnology).

In addition to plenary and technical sessions, the conference featured parallel sessions, a poster exhibition, and an industry–academia networking forum. Discussions covered a wide range of emerging research topics, including RNA nanotechnology, green catalytic materials, artificial intelligence in maritime engineering, and nanomechanics. These activities promoted the practical application of research outcomes, strengthened collaboration between academia and industry, and expanded international research partnerships.

Through iCAMSD 2026, TDTU continues to reinforce its academic reputation, particularly in advanced materials research, while demonstrating its capacity to organize high-quality international scientific conferences. The conference also contributes to strengthening connections among researchers worldwide, promoting interdisciplinary research and innovation, and advancing technological solutions for sustainable development.
