Ton Duc Thang University Graduation Ceremony, October 2025: More than 3,600 new graduates embark on a new journey of knowledge
On October 24 and 31, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly held a Graduation Ceremony for more than 3,600 undergraduates, graduate students and doctoral students graduating in October 2025.
Attending the Ceremony were Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Chairman of the Science and Training Council, President of TDTU; members of the University Council, members of the Board of Directors, along with the presence of teachers and leaders of Faculties, Departments, Offices, Centers, Institutes, lecturers of the University, parents and especially the presence of the new graduates.
From early morning, TDTU campus was bright with colorful graduation gowns. The smiles, hugs, and emotional eyes of students, trainees, and families created an atmosphere filled with joy and pride.
The event is not only an important milestone for each new graduate, master, and doctor, but also affirms the achievements in TDTU's journey of liberal education and global integration.
Recognizing the outstanding achievements of TDTU students and trainees
This graduation ceremony marks the persistent efforts and proactive learning spirit of TDTU students. Of the total 3,618 undergraduate students, 17 graduate students and 01 doctoral student graduating, there are: 08 students graduating with Excellent, 03 students graduating with Good 1 year ahead of schedule, 556 students graduating with Excellent ahead of schedule, 17 students meeting high English output standards (including many students achieving 8.0 IELTS or higher), 02 female Vietnamese science and technology students in 2025, 02 students with outstanding sports achievements and international and national medals, and many students with outstanding achievements in scientific research. These numbers not only show the results of a serious learning process but also demonstrate the quality of training and modern academic environment of TDTU.
Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Chairman of the Science and Training Council, Principal of the School - on behalf of the school's teaching staff, sent congratulations and advice to all new PhDs, Masters, Bachelors, Engineers, Architects, Pharmacists: Today's graduation ceremony is not the end but the door that opens a new journey of independence, creativity and dedication. Society is changing every day and we are living in an era of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Digital Transformation - where knowledge and technology are the strongest driving forces of human development. Mastering technology means mastering creative thinking, solution thinking and connection thinking. “I hope that, no matter what field you work in – engineering, economics, architecture, pharmacy or art – you will always be ready to learn and exploit the power of digital technology intelligently, humanely and responsibly... Be a global citizen but carry in your heart the Vietnamese spirit – intelligence, humanity, creativity and perseverance. Then, you will not only succeed for yourself but also contribute to making TDTU and Vietnam famous internationally”.
The President also advised the new graduates to take a moment to think about their parents, family, teachers and friends – those who have followed, supported and accompanied them on their path of knowledge. At the same time, the first lesson when you enter Ton Duc Thang University is - study well to show filial piety to your parents. Knowledge is only truly valuable when built on a foundation of gratitude and responsibility. Be grateful to your parents - those who have given all their love and silent sacrifice; be grateful to your teachers - those who have devoted themselves to imparting knowledge and inspiring passion; be grateful to your friends - those who have accompanied and shared, and be grateful for the difficulties and challenges that have tempered and forged you into who you are today. Gratitude is the source of character, the light that guides the path to success. “Ahead is a new path – with opportunities and challenges. But I believe that, with the knowledge, courage and spirit of TDTU, you will walk firmly, confidently, and continue to write the most beautiful pages of your life. Always remember: Success does not come to those who wait, but to those who dare to commit and dare to act. And wherever you go, whatever you do, always be proud to say: 'I am a student of Ton Duc Thang University' ", said the Principal.
Along with the joy of university students, the awarding of degrees to 17 new masters and 01 new doctorate took place solemnly and meaningfully. Amidst the applause, the graduate students stepped up to the podium to receive their degrees, and performed the graduation ceremony - a symbol of the transition from the lecture hall to the career journey, marking the journey of research and study at a higher level.
Quality foundation from a well-invested training system
The above results are not only personal efforts but also the result of a systematic and methodical training process, built on international accreditation standards. Ton Duc Thang University is one of the few universities in Vietnam that meets the international accreditation standards of FIBAA - an accreditation organization from Europe. At the training program level, the whole university has 44 undergraduate and postgraduate programs accredited by FIBAA, ASIIN and AUN-QA.
The facilities at TDTU are invested in modernly, meeting the requirements of teaching - learning - research in all training majors. The training program at TDTU is built in the direction of close connection with businesses and the labor market. Many courses on professional skills development, practical internships, student scientific research and business semesters have become strengths to help TDTU students gain practical experience before graduation.
Persistence with the orientation of developing high-quality human resources
According to statistics for many years, over 99% of TDTU students have jobs within 12 months of graduation, of which more than 80% work in the right major, with good income and promotion opportunities. Particularly for the masters and doctoral groups, the majority continue to take on management positions, lecturers, researchers or start-ups in their specialized fields. This shows the synchronization in training programs, foreign language skills, learning environment and connection with domestic and international enterprises.
The graduation ceremony for the 2025-2026 school year took place in a solemn, emotional and proud atmosphere. The laughter, tears, and hugs saying goodbye to the lecture hall created a harmony of knowledge, effort and gratitude.
From TDTU, more than 3,600 new graduates, masters and doctors brought with them knowledge, personality and courage to continue their new journey – the journey of global citizens, contributing to building a strong Vietnamese knowledge society.
