On the morning of March 29, 2023, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam National Union of Oil and Gas Workers (VNUOGW) chaired by Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group’s party committee, and union president of VNUOGW paid a visit and worked at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). She was accompanied by Mr. Nguyen Manh Kha, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of VNUOGW, Mr. Bui Quoc Son - Member of Standing Committee of VNUOGW and Rector of PV College, and representatives of departments, Office of VNUOGW and PV College.
On the side of TDTU, Dr. Vu Anh Duc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President, and representatives of related faculties and departments welcomed the visiting delegation.
After visiting and introducing TDTU's outstanding and typical works such as Inspiration Library, Sports complex and Vietnam - Finland International School, Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan expressed her impression of modern and convenient facilities of the University, and at the same time wanted to access some more experiences of TDTU in the process of building and developing the autonomy model, ensuring the quality of students' learning outcomes in the new era.
When it comes to collaboration opportunities, Dr. Tran Trong Dao highly evaluated the development potential of the oil and gas industry in the future. TDTU can coordinate with member schools of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to improve and enhance training programs of key industries; cooperate in scientific research projects, provide opportunities for students to participate in internships and learn the application of modern machines in production operation, contributing to training high-quality human resources and promoting development of TDTU as well as of the Oil and Gas industry in the new period.
