In the morning of July 24, 2017, Ton Duc Thang University's Faculty of Sports Science organized a seminar on "Organizing Events and Communication in Sport". The seminar was attended by Prof. Dr. Huynh Trong Khai, Former President of HCM City University of Physical Education and Sport; Dr. Vo Danh Hai, Vice President of the World Martial Arts Association; Nguyen Thanh Huy, Secretary General of the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation; Mr. Ha Huy Tuong, Acting Editor-in-chief of HCMC Sports Newspaper; Prof. Huang Yen Hsiang, Prof. Anthony Huang from National Taiwan University of Sports; representatives from many leading sports event management companies in Vietnam; lecturers and students of universities with sports-specialized training.

At the conference, guests presented various discussions in the field of sports events organizations and the communications. While Prof. Huang Yen Hsiang brought to the audience an overview of event coordinating activities from hosting application process, implementation to the post-event activities. Prof. Anthony Huang was showing how to run the events through the media to change the consciousness of fans from not knowing to becoming avid fans of any sports. Dr. Vo Danh Hai, who has brought many international martial art events to Vietnam, revealed the "great way" to attract sponsors to the events, which is a key factor affecting the success of any sporting events today.

The conference Events Organization & Media in Sports is a chance for TDTU lecturers and students to exchange their knowledge and experience with international practical activists and experts on the events organization and media in sports. To students of Sports Science Faculty at TDTU, this is also an occasion for them to learn more about their major, have more passion for their learning programs, and targets to become talented event administrators in the future.
