On the afternoon of January 5, 2018, Ho Chi Minh City Students Football Tournament in the academic year 2017 - 2018 officially opened at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). This prize is in the framework of the 4th Ho Chi Minh City University Sports (HCUS Games IV), which was co-organized by Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports.

The official competition kicked off on January 5, 2018 and will last until January 28, 2018 with the participation of 16 teams from 16 institutions, universities and colleges; attracting over 50,000 students in Ho Chi Minh City to cheer on millions of TV viewers across the country.

With the experience of organizing many sporting events during the past three years and especially with the full range of modern sports equipment, TDTU was selected as the second co-organizer of the HCMC Students Football Tournament. The organization of the tournament also contributed to promote the movement for health training and sports spirit following the example of great Uncle Ho; encourage sports habits in students as well as select and foster sports talents for national and international competitions.

Right after the opening ceremony, the first match between TDTU and Ho Chi Minh City Bach Khoa University took place very exciting with the cheers of the audience. TDTU won 1: 0 before Bach Khoa University.

The final and the closing ceremony will be held at TDTU at the 2-star FIFA Stadium at 15:00 on January 28. We would like to invite all the teachers, interested students, to watch and cheer for teams at: Ton Duc Thang University, No. 19 Nguyen Huu Tho, Tan Phong Ward, District 7, HCMC.
