On the afternoon of October 4th, 2018, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the opening ceremony of the undergraduate program, in collaboration with Saxion University of Applied Sciences (SaxionU), the Netherlands. Attending the opening ceremony were President Anka Mulder; Mr. Janco Bonnink, Director of International Institute; Mr. Peter Van Dam, Dean of Life Sciences and Technology; Mr. Sander Reinderink, Dean of Faculty of Accounting and Finance, SaxionU. On the side of TDTU, there were Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice President of TDTU, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments together with lecturers and students participating in the undergraduate collaboration program between TDTU and SaxionU.
Launched in the year 2007, the general programs on finance & control, electrical engineering-electronics between TDTU and SaxionU were formulated on the basis of a long-term and sustainable cooperation goal of the two universities. After 12 years of implementation, the scale and quality of the program has been continuously improved with the number of students growing steadily. In the academic year 2018 - 2019, the SaxionU collaboration program has 24 freshmen who have been offered a major in finance and control, and 15 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Students participating in the programs can receive a scholarship and are allowed to work part-time after graduation under the Dutch policy.
